I have been interested in acupuncture ever since my husband became an Emergency Medicine physician in 2004. I have a high regard for the accomplishments and advances in Western medicine and recognize its necessity. I knew that an alternative medicine such as acupuncture could play an essential role in helping people achieve and sustain health without relying solely on pharmaceuticals. Each medicine has its place and I believe in a marriage between the two, which complement each other and ultimately create an integrated system of well being and prevention. In 2006 I decided to take an active role in the assimilation of Western and Eastern medicine by becoming an acupuncturist. I promote health by encouraging patients to take ownership of their own well being, as well as being an advocate for Western medicine.
I now hold a Master of Acupuncture degree from Tai Sophia Institute in Laurel, Maryland. I also have a background in Conflict Resolution, in which I hold a Master of Science degree.
